The carribean, in my head, meant miles and miles of palm lined coastline, with humans sporadically leaving their footprints on the whitest of sands. When I landed in Punta Cana, I realized that not only was my imagination precise, but it also included beach beds where you can lie down and sip on bottomless pina coladas, thanks to my all inclusive resort 😀
SB and I spent about 4 days (celebrating our 10 year friendship anniversary) in the all-inclusive Royal Bavaro resort located on the most beautiful stretch of Bavaro beach. The resort had unlimited EVERYTHING (except vegetarian food of course. Prepare yourself to survive on desserts if you fall in that sad category like I did) and it was the most amazing beach vacation I have had till date.
Visa:
Indian Nationals qualify for a Visa-on-arrival provided that you have a U.S Work Visa that’s valid atleast for 6 months from the day you enter the island.
Transportation:
You don’t need a car if you are planning to spend most of the time in the resort. Driving there is like driving in India, so I would think twice before venturing out in a car. Most of resorts have tie-ups with agencies so the water activities like scuba diving and parasailing can be booked in the resort itself. They also do pick-ups and drop-offs to most of the resorts on Bavaro beach. The only thing I booked in advance is the transport from the airport to the resort and back through booking.com.
Now onto the photo diary:

Thanks for stopping by!
Until next time,
