Hi lovelies ❤ Hope you all had a great vacation! I sure did 😀 Getting back to reality isn’t as easy as it sounds. But anyways, with the New Year starting and people making all kinds of resolutions, my resolution is to post atleast once a week on my blog. Let’s see how that goes 😛
Moving on to the first post of 2017, here’s a makeup look I did on my model for one of the party posts.
Most of the products that I used are Drugstore brands and super affordable. For the face, I used a low-medium coverage foundation from Clinique. It is like a second skin and is super comfy for Winter and Summer days alike! I added a little bit of contour just under the cheekbones and sides of the nose to give some definition and added a touch of pink blush on the cheeks. Both the contour and blush are from the maybelline Contour kit in deep – my to go these days! It also has a highlight shade which is equally flattering and totally worth the buck! But nothing can beat this amaazing Becca highlighter which makes you literally shine bright like a diamond 😀 I applied it on the high points of the face – cheekbones and the center of the nose and just under the brow.
For the eyebrows, I used the ABH Brow Wiz to fill the brows. A more affordable version is the NYX Brow Pencil.
For the eyes, I first used the NYX primer on the lids to hold the eye shadow. And trust me when I say, this baby doesn’t budge! I used the maybelline Blushed Nudes Palette which is a dupe for the more expensive Naked 3. This is a good palette if you are just starting off with eye makeup as it has some good pinks and browns that suit all skin tones. I used the darkest brown (row 2 last) on the crease and the corner of the eye to create a subtle smokey eye and used the darkest pink (row 2 last but one) for the rest of the lid and the peach colour(row 2 first) for the inner corner. I also used the nude khajal to make the eyes pop and added some winged liner on the top. When it comes to mascara, Benefit’s Roller Lash is hands down the best Mascara I’ve used till date. It doesn’t clump and it gently curls the lashes to give that added glamour to your natural lashes.
With Nude Lipsticks, there aren’t many options if you aren’t fair skinned. But here I present to you – the holy grail – Frick N’ Frank from Colourpop. It has a buttery texture and goes very well with all Indian Skin tones! Priced at $6, this is a must have! I also used the My Jam gloss on top to give it a little glitter.
Here is a list of all the products that I used for getting this look –
